The Devil’s Playground

You would think evil would stick out like a black cockroach on a white carpet, but not always.    Unfortunately, we don’t have to go far to find evil.  It is present everywhere.  Sometimes it’s not so obvious such as an evil thought passing through our minds.  But there are some places people go, either knowingly or unknowingly, to enter into the devil’s playground.  Let’s look at a few of these.

Chanting is the repetition of a word or sound, like the name of a deity (a false god) which helps one to stay in communion with that false god.

Mindfulness meditation is the practice of purposely bringing one’s attention to the present moment without evaluation while using meditation and other yogic practices as well as the repetition of a mantra (chanting).

Yogic Practices – The yoga practitioner works towards awareness that holiness is in everything.

Yoga is a “yoking”, a spiritual practice of dedication to a Hindu god along with poses and offerings to many Hindu gods.  Yoga also focuses on manipulation of “life force energy” through breathing exercises which can lead a person into the dark side of the spiritual realm.  Some yoga classes are even held in cemeteries or with goats or snakes! 

Never empty your mind as the devil will come in and take up residency there.  Instead, fill up your mind with the word of God.  We are NOT to worship idols, people (dead of alive) or the universe (sun, moon, stars, planets, earth, etc.).  In other words, we are NOT to worship God’s creation.  There is no holiness found in any of God’s creation.  We ARE to worship our Creator, our one true triune living and holy God.   

Yoga originated from a false eastern religion and was purposely and satanically spread to western countries.  Yoga is much more than just stretching exercises.  Don’t kid yourself.  You’re not fooling God.  In the Bible, the sheep follow Jesus, the goats reject Jesus, and the serpent (snake) is used by Satan to deceive Adam & Eve.  Don’t be deceived and used by Satan!

Reiki is an energy healing technique derived from Buddhism.  It claims to work by removing obstructions to the flow of life force energy in the body due to negative thoughts, actions, or feelings.

Energy healing encourages us to put our full trust in ourselves and is a form of self idol worship. Energy healing is spiritually dangerous.  God has no part in healing this way.  Reiki energy healing comes from the Satanic demonic dark realm.  Healing from God comes by faith in His Son Jesus who obtained our healing with His death, burial and resurrection.  The more advanced you become with Reiki, the more oppressed you will be by demonic forces.

Psychic Readings and Mediums – Some psychics or mediums predict the future by gathering information about a person ahead of “the reading”.  Others are using or being used by demons (evil angels) who supply the information or even the voice of a dead person.  See what God says about this as you read the following verse: 

Leviticus 20:27 (NLV) ‘A man or woman who speaks with bad spirits or who talks to the dead must be put to death. They will be killed with stones. They will suffer for their own sin.’”

Only God holds the future, and only He truly knows what will happen.

1 Timothy 4:1 (NLT) Now The Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.

We are presently living in The End Times.  Christians are awaiting The Rapture of the Church when Christ will come and take us to heaven with Him.  Unbelievers who are left here on earth will suffer The Tribulation, a 7 year period of God’s wrath on them.  During this time, Satan will continue to mimic God the Father.  Satan will set up his own kingdom on earth.  He will do this by using the Antichrist who mimics Jesus.  He will also use the False Prophet who mimics the Holy Spirit.  To learn more about this, visit Do Not Be Deceived!

Evil is not just lurking here or there.  Evil is present everywhere.  And Satan is working overtime – especially now in The End Times.  John 10:10 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 

Thankfully, God’s Son Jesus came to earth and conquered sin, death and Satan.  Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection obtained eternal life for all who place their trust in Him.
