Everyone Sent Jesus to the Cross
Who do you think was responsible for the death of Jesus? The Gentiles would say the Jews killed Him as the Sanhedrin (Jewish judicial body of elders) tried Jesus and found Him guilty. In reality, He was falsely accused and had committed no crime. Jesus is the Son of God and never sinned. 1 John 3:5 (NKJV) And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.
Jesus was handed over to the Romans (Gentiles), and then to Pilate (the Roman Governor) who admitted Jesus was not guilty of any crime. Luke 23:4 (NKJV) So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this Man.” It seems both Jew and Gentile are responsible for sending Jesus to the cross.
In truth, your sins and my sins are the reason Jesus came to earth. He was here to show, by way of healings and miracles, that He is God – the Son of God. Acts 2:22-23 (NIV) “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. Jesus proclaimed His deity in John 10:30 (KJV) I and the Father are one.” Jesus came to earth to deal with our sins once and for all time. His death, burial and resurrection paid the price for our sin debt. For those of us who believe in Him, our sins (past, present and future) have been forgiven and cast away permanently.

Jesus Fulfilled the Law
The purpose of the law was to reveal sin. The perpetual sacrifices could only cover sin. Romans 3:25-26 (NIV) God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Matthew 5:17-19 (NIV) “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
No One Killed Jesus
Actually, no one killed Jesus. Listen to Jesus’ own words in John 10:17-18 (NIV) The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” Jesus laid down His life and then resurrected His life for each of us. He came for the world, but individually we must claim Him as our personal Savior. John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Isaiah 53:10 (Amp) Yet the Lord was willing To crush Him, causing Him to suffer; If He would give Himself as a guilt offering [an atonement for sin], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, And the will (good pleasure) of the Lord shall succeed and prosper in His hand.
