Define The Gospel in Two Words – Good News!
Here is The Sower, Michael Guido of Metter, Georgia, with a scene for the garden of your heart …
One day, the host of a quiz show said, “Preachers are long winded. Can you give me the definition of the gospel in two words?” “Good news,” I said. It doesn’t tell us what we must do for God, but what God has done for us. It doesn’t offer us lessons from the life of Christ, but life from the death of Christ. Here’s the good news. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. When I heard that Christ loved me and gave himself for me, I prayed, “Jesus come into my heart and live your life in me.” I’m glad he came in. Wouldn’t you like to receive him?
