Amir Tsarfati reveals Jesus in the Old Testament. As Creator, Jesus first steps into our world as The Light of the World. And this was before the sun, moon and stars were created.
Day 1 of Creation: Genesis 1:3 (YLT) and God saith, `Let light be;’ and light is.
Day 4 of Creation: Genesis 1:14-19 (NKJV) Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
Jesus can be found in Psalm 22 as the Suffering Messiah and in Isaiah 53 as the Sin-bearing Messiah. Even the Jewish Feasts/Festivals foreshadow and point to Jesus. But these are just a few examples.
Prophecies
All that was written about Jesus in the Old Testament must be fulfilled as well as all prophecies in the Bible. The New Testament had not been written when Jesus was on earth. He proved He was the promised Messiah using only the Old Testament. From Genesis to Revelation the focus is on God’s plan of salvation through His Son, Jesus. This may be easier to see and understand in the New Testament, but The Word, Jesus, can also be found in the Old Testament. When you read The Word of God, you will get to know The Word.
